Hello, I'm Janel Rodriguez, Founder and Principal Designer of Streamline Interior Design Solutions.  As a Certified Commercial Interior Designer (California Council for Interior Design Certification #6834) with more than 17 years of industry experience, I bring a thoughtful, strategic, and client-centered approach to every project.

Streamline Interior Design Solutions is a boutique design practice dedicated to providing a highly curated and personalized experience.  By intentionally maintaining a selective portfolio of projects, I am able to offer each client direct involvement, attentive service, and a level of responsiveness that is often difficult to find within larger firms.  This hands-on approach ensures every project benefits from a seamless process, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to design excellence from concept through completion.  

I believe successful design begins with understanding the people behind the project.  Through collaboration, clear communication and deep appreciation for each client's vision, I create tailored design solutions for each project.  Whether designing a commercial environment or a private residence, my goal is to develop spaces that reflect your unique needs, support the way you live or work, and enhance your overall experience within the space.

My design philosophy balances creativity with practicality, delivering solutions that are visually compelling while remaining mindful of budget, functionality, and project timelines.  Every project is approached with the same level of dedication, professionalism, and passion for creating environments that inspire, perform, and endure. 

• Programming: Creation of AutoCAD files, test fits, accessibility review and field verification/measurements.
• Schematic Design: Conceptual space plans, preliminary occupancy calculations, egress requirements review, plumbing fixture requirements review
• Design Development: Preliminary engineering coordination, preliminary pricing plans, value engineering solutions, fixture specifications and finish selections
• Contract Documentation: Construction drawings for submittal to governing jurisdictions, coordination with engineering disciplines, plan check submittal, and bidding coordination with general contractor(s)
• Contract Administration: RFI response, attendance of construction meetings and review of shop drawings, equipment submittals and finish submittals.
• Capital Improvement Services: Accessible path of travel upgrades, exterior finish enhancements and interior common area lobby, corridor, and restroom improvements.
• Property Management Services: Marketing brochures, suite subdivision layouts, square footage calculations, and speculative tenant conceptual layouts
• Other Services: Conditional use permit and processing, construction plans for projects not requiring a permit (finish work as defined by 2025 CBC) and demolition plans for city submittal.
